It's Snowing!

There is at least 6" of new white snow and it is still falling! Even if there is no sun it is very clear outside because of all this white stuff! No, winter is not over yet! Shoveling is done for now but more shoveling will be necessary later for sure. Here are my 2 daugthers: Élizabeth and Émilie

Stay warm!

Before and after

I'm not fast.... This project was in my head for a long time and it took some time to do it. I was unable to make a decision how to organize the trays. Finaly after I don't know how many try, I glued everything together and painted it black, but first I wanted to painted it vintage white.

After that, which paper I wanted to use. So I used October Afternoon and 7Gypsies. And here is
the result.

A little close-up. The thing that hold the 3 photos together is not a real receipt holder, do you know what it is?

I cut the bird from thin wood and stamped it with Stazon. I made a mini chalkboard. And I also made the tinest mini photo holder I ever made. It measures 1 x 1½. It is the one with the crossword on the front cover over the ruler. It contains 8 tiny family photos.
So did you find the answer of the faux receipt holder? Yes, it is a mouse trap. I cut it and painted it black before to glued it to the box!

30 inches of happiness

Did you see these Snippet Rolls? What a wonderful find I made: Here and here Of course mine is a bit different, it is bigger and I also made a spool box. I printed my photos on white fabric. Lately I was a participant of a fabric collage swap and for the first time I printed an image on fabric. Oh my, a real passion came alive with this technique. I love the way black and white photos look on fabric. It is not easy to make a good photo out of the snippet roll, it is long (it measures 30 inches), but I think you can see the general idea of it.

I embellished mine with buttons, fiber, flowers, some handstamped images and lace. Everything is sewn on.

Will you make a snippet roll?

TTC Friends

This week Louise at TTC is challenging us with the theme Friends. So I made an ATC and the tag is the holder. The title is: L'amitié est le plus beau cadeau = Friendship is the most beautiful gift. The german scrap on the top of the tag, is not completely glued to the tag, so I slided the ATC under and the red string helps to keep it on the tag. Hopefully my friend will be happy with it!

TTC >>> A tag On A Tag

Well, well, well, my superdupper Canon scanner died this morning. How sad!

This week, Louise is challenging us to make a tag on a tag! It was a fun challenge even if my tag is very very simple. There is already 25 submissions....oh là, là!!

And I've been published in Studio Scrap. That's a french magazine from Québec. The challenge was to make a page with recycled items.

Green Paper Challenge

Mary at GreenPaper is challenging us to make any kind of collage with a collage sheet she created for february. So here is my entry, a family tree. I gave names from my own family tree to these charming people. I used the botanical image to make the tree and the victorian scrap to make the postal stamp.
Have a creative thursday!

TT Challenge > Circles

This week, Louise is challenging us to make a tag with more than 1 circle. So I stamped and cut a huge pocket watch from manilla cardstock, added a round photo and a round tag (croire en ses rêves = believe in our dreams) is the title for this week!
Also
What I've seen and what I made!
Look at what I found on this gorgeous blog the other day! A glass dome filled with labels with inspiring words. It gave me the idea to use the smaller dome that I already have to hold some family photos.
Here it is! I added some pearls, button, pins...

I think it is a fun project if you have an empty dome somewhere in your house!

Have a creative tuesday!
