Bonsoir everyone! Today I want to show you some stamps I got in my mailbox lately. Today I received these that I won at Danielle's blog. They are great! I can't wait to play with them!
She also send me a double side tag with Dorothy and her friends. Sorry for the not so good photo, because today there was no sun in the sky! Just clouds!
And the other day I received an envelope from UK. I didn't expect anything from there. The so talented Lynne send me these cancellations postmarks stamps (Québec and Ontario) Aren't these incredible! If you don't know Lynne or Danielle, I suggest to go to visit their blogs! In the photo I wanted to show the little embellishment I made with shrink plastic and the postmark stamp. I think they 're cute!
I have been inspired by this Blog to make my own grungeboard bracelet!. I colored it with broken china distress ink. Some sewing, eyelets, a french quote, I also added a black bead and a button. It closes with a snap fastener. How easy!
This week at Try it on Tuesday, the theme is Steampunk. I have to admit this is not really a comfort zone for me, but here is my interpretation! I just love this quote "whatever you are, be a good one"
A close-up of his face
I added some pop openers at the bottom. I heat embossed with silver powder all the chipboard embellishments.
I am linking this paper doll wall hanging to Alter it monthly. The current challenge is Valley of dolls... Not an easy challenge this time! I can't alter a doll head so I choose to make a paper doll, does she fit to this challenge...?
Her arms, legs and wings are movable. I attached her to a box lid.
This week at Try it on Tuesday they challenge us with the theme flower power. I made this pop up page in my new art book/journal that I just started in July. When the book is closed it doesn't show too much.
I made this crown with grungeboard. I got my inspiration right here Of course mine is different and it is much bigger (it is about 4" x 4½" high) I don't know how she can make so tiny crowns, but my fingers would be too big... I will use it to make photo shoot with my daughters just for the fun of being the Queen of the day! I painted and stamped all the pieces before to put it together. Grungeboard is very flexible even with paint on it. It was a fun project!
I hope you have an opened mind this morning! LOL I never participate in sketch challenge. But when I saw this sketch and the 150 photos DD16 brought back from the show she went on saturday night in Montréal.... I thought both (photos and sketch) fit together. I know this layout is just not me, there is not a postal stamp on it... and the photos are not in black and white... this is certainly not my comfort zone...
But the result is fresh and young looking just as Katy Perry is. I added glitter around the photos, because she is so glittered herself!
I found another Challenge! Try it on Tuesday! This week is to alter a box! How easy is that!! I choose a matchbox, you know, the bigger one (2 ½ x 4 ¾") Inside I added a little book as you can see on the second photo! You have until monday night if you want to play...
This week I got a box full of goodies from Anika because I won the May challenge on Alter it MonthlyWhat a surprise I was expecting an enveloppe and I received all this! It has been a little bit longer to get it here because of the strike we had with Canada Post. I got a canvas in a frame, sheet of music, handmade paper, enveloppes...
There was a bag full of chipboard shape, buttons, a rubber stamp...
Game pieces, German Monopoly cards, old stamps... I think the entirely world knows that I love old stamps!
Some brads, old coins and look at that goldish trim...
I also kept the stamp that was on the box. It measures 2 ¼" x 2 ½" and it is Beautiful!
I found a wonderful tutorial righthere I know it is not in english, not even in french but it is really easy to follow and I think the result is great. It looks like a stack of old letters or pages of an old book. Here is mine and it will hold my old precious family photos.
