30 inches of happiness
Did you see these Snippet Rolls? What a wonderful find I made: Here and here Of course mine is a bit different, it is bigger and I also made a spool box. I printed my photos on white fabric. Lately I was a participant of a fabric collage swap and for the first time I printed an image on fabric. Oh my, a real passion came alive with this technique. I love the way black and white photos look on fabric. It is not easy to make a good photo out of the snippet roll, it is long (it measures 30 inches), but I think you can see the general idea of it.

What a good idea for a small project. I love your spool box. You are a very clever artist my friend! I also liked working with fabric on our collage project..so easy to run it through the printer. I may try another one of those some time.
RépondreSupprimerYour new things in your shop are great!!
Hugs to you!!
Your snippet roll is gorgeous and I love the spool box to keep it in. I tried doing the photos on transfer paper and then ironing it onto the fabric.... it was not a success so any clue on how you print direct to fabric and what sort of fabric would be a huge help!!

Thanks Michelle, both for the tips on printing and for the inspiration of your lovely spool box!! I have added a link to give you credit for the original design... and of course you can add the tiny spools, they are cute, aren't they? I got them in Michaels. hugs Annette
